Dr Anya Carlson BVSc (Hons) Resident in Veterinary Ophthalmology.

Anya graduated with honours from The University of Melbourne in 2009. Following graduation she worked at the University in research, surgery teaching and general practice. She then moved to Australia’s largest charity veterinary hospital and developed an interest in ophthalmology.

Anya completed the Distance Education Course in Ophthalmology in 2014 and the William Magrane Basic Science Course in Veterinary and Comparative Ophthalmology in 2020. She has worked as a Professional Interest Practitioner for several years before commencing a residency at Animal Eye Care in 2021.

When not looking at or thinking about eyes, Anya is practicing her many hobbies including sewing, bushwalking, aquascaping, science fiction, and reading. She lives with three rescue cats (Lyra, Vash and Korra), forty-five fish, over a thousand books, and one very patient husband.
