VETERINARIAN
Dr Peter Mohoric, DVM
Locum Veterinary Ophthalmologist
I grew up near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the USA. I graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, in Lancaster, PA in 2003 for my undergraduate degree. I completed my veterinary degree in 2007 at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, I moved to Tampa, FL for my rotating internship and an ophthalmology internship. I completed a 3 year residency in ophthalmology in 2012 in private practice with Eye Care for Animals in Chicago, IL. From there, I moved to northern Virginia for 2 years, before moving back to Tampa, where I have been practicing since.
I met my wife, Brandi, as an intern, where she was a veterinary technician. We got married in 2010, and have 3 sons - Brandon, Bryce, and Brooks. Brandi and Brooks have traveled here to Australia with me. I am an avid sports fan, particularly of Baseball and American Football. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking or working on our house. I have also been training in Muay Thai and Krav Maga for the last year. We have a whole host of animals - 3 dogs, a cat, 3 Quarterhorses, whom I have learned to ride so I can join my wife, who rides very well, and an African Spurred tortoise.
